Register for Twilight Shuffle in Libertyville

Registration is underway for MainStreet Libertyville's annual Twilight Shuffle fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Join your fellow runners for an evening run through downtown Libertyville, rain or shine. Elite and recreational runners, first-time racers, families (children must be 9 on day of race) and jog stroller-pushers enjoy the 3.12 mile route. The run begins at 6 p.m.

The Twilight Shuffle 5K Run is one of MainStreet Libertyville's top fundraisers, is one of northern Illinois' top 5K evening races, attracting close to 1,000 participants. The race offers professional chip-timing, a course with some moderate hills and many enthusiastic spectators.

A post-race party is held at Mickey Finn's Brewery for dinner and rehydration. Awards will be given for the Fit Family and Fast Family.

Race admission is $40 adults, $30 youths (ages 9-17) by Aug. 28. After Aug. 28, admission is $45 adults, $30 youths. Register online at www.signmeup.com/100163 through Aug. 31. You can also register in person at packet pickup Friday and Saturday, Sept. 2 and 3 and until noon Sunday, Sept. 4 at Amphibian Multisport, 130 N. Milwaukee Ave. There is no walk-up registration at the race and no refunds.
