Buffalo Grove Fire Department open house Sept. 17
The Buffalo Grove Fire Department is hosting its 21st annual open house next month.
The open house will feature demonstrations of how to use a fire extinguisher and how firefighters extract people from vehicles. In addition to being able to get a close-up look at the department's vehicles and equipment, there also will be activities for children, such as the junior firefighter challenge, a puppet show and a kids fire safety smoke house.
The open house will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 17, at the fire station at 1051 Highland Grove Drive in Buffalo Grove.
