Charity Holding Bowling Fundraiser to Fight Hunger

The Humanitarian Service Project (HSP) of DuPage County is hosting its second ever annual Bowling Event, HSP Bowl: Strike against Hunger. This event will be held on Thursday, September 29th, 2016 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Fox Bowl located at 1101 Butterfield Road Wheaton, IL 60189. The event will consist of a raffle, a pizza buffet, and three games of "Scotch Bowling". Scotch bowling is partner bowling where you and your partner alternate throws throughout the game.

This event is focused on raising funds and awareness for the programs that HSP operates to assist low income seniors, children and families in DuPage and Kane counties. The proceeds gathered at the event will go towards supporting local communities suffering from hunger through the agency's Senior Citizen Project, Feed the Kids, and Christmas Offering programs. The recipients of these programs receive nutritional support to combat food insecurity including fresh produce, meat, bread, non-perishables, and more. HSP distributes over 115 tons of groceries to low-income residents of DuPage and Kane counties every year.

Everyone is welcome to this event and it will be a fun time for individuals and families of all ages. Tickets are $25 apiece and must be purchased by September 23rd. Children under 6 are free. To purchase tickets you can visit HSP's website: www.humanitarianservice.org. HSP can be contacted at (630) 221-8340 orhsp@humanitarianservice.org.
