Clinton election would be devastating
The upcoming presidential election places our country at a place of constitutional peril. The course the electorate chooses will change America forever. From my perspective, the separation of powers and the Constitution itself all hinge on the outcome of this momentous event in November.
Hillary vows to extend the Obama presidency into its third term. If elected, she will appoint a liberal Supreme Court Justice who will tip the court to the left. During her four-year term, she could appoint even more liberal justices.
Initially this "tip" will be used to legalize every executive action taken by Obama especially those IRS, EPA, and ICE "regulation changes" made outside congressional oversight.
And lastly, this would cement the Iran nuclear agreement into permanence. But these horrible consequences are only the tip of the iceberg. The bigger issue relates to the efficacy of Congress itself.
Imagine a Clinton president with five or more liberal Supreme Court justices on the bench for the next 20 years. What measure passed by a Republican Congress would ever be signed into law?
Even if Republicans had a veto-proof majority, could any measure vetoed by Hillary and then overturned by Congress survive a purely political review by a Clinton-appointed court?
What control could a Republican Congress ever have on further "regulation" changes or "executive agreements" (treaties)?
The answer to me is clear. If Hillary is elected, then Congress will be stripped of any power whatsoever. With the Supreme Court in Hillary's hands, the judicial branch can and will strike down Congress at her whim.
When that day arrives, our government as we know it will cease. America cannot allow Clinton to strip Congress of its power. America must not elect Clinton.
