Franks really does look out for taxpayers

A series of Letters to the Editor have been written with the intent to deceive the voters of McHenry County. These letters claim Jack Franks hasn't done anything to alleviate McHenry County's property tax burden.

Allow me to enlighten your readers. Jack Franks sponsored and/or passed more bills enabling property tax relief to the residents of McHenry County than any legislator, Republican or Democrat, in the history of the legislature.

Jack Franks, unlike his Republican colleagues, has never voted for a tax or fee increase. Just this year, Jack Franks passed a property tax freeze bill that is now under consideration in the Senate. He also passed government consolidation legislation over the objections of local Republican elected officials. Jack Franks exposed the McHenry County Board members who are collecting pension benefits they are not entitled to, paid for with your tax dollars. As a result of his efforts, the taxpayers will save millions of dollars.

To blame Franks for all the "wrong" in Springfield is not fair. Do not be fooled by deceitful accusations. If you're looking to support someone who will also fight for the taxpayers, look no further than Jack Franks.
