Lake County judge vacancy

Lake County Associate Judge Sarah P. Lessman has resigned effective Sept. 30 and applications are being accepted to fill the vacancy. Any U.S. citizen who is an attorney licensed to practice law in Illinois and a resident of the 19th Judicial Circuit may apply by electronically filing a signed application with the Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts. Application instructions are available at illinoiscourts.gov. An applicant is also allowed to submit two signed originals of the application with Michael J. Tardy, Director, Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, 3101 Old Jacksonville Road, Springfield, Illinois, 62704. The filing deadline is Sept. 16. A form for application can be obtained from the Chief Judge's Office, the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, or the Illinois Supreme Court website at illinoiscourts.gov and downloaded from the documents/applications/forms link. Applications will not be accepted if submitted via facsimile.
