Energy Efficient Tiny House on Wheels Coming to Northbrook August 22-27

Advanced Energy Services has partnered with Go Green Northbrook to bring the 2016 Proof is Possible Tour to the Village of Northbrook August 22-27, 2016 at the Northbrook Leisure Center located at 3323 Walters Ave, Northbrook, IL 60062.

The Proof is Possible Tour is a nationwide, educational tour promoting the benefits of residential home performance testing and diagnostics that result in specific, targeted energy-efficiency improvement opportunities for homeowners.

The "star" of the tour is the Tiny House Lab (#TinyLab), which was built using the construction techniques and materials that make new or existing homes energy efficient and comfortable. The popularity in tiny houses has steadily grown as alternative living spaces, but this Tiny House Lab is a high performance model and is the focal point of discussions about the importance of testing and home performance improvements.

All homeowner events are free and tours of the Tiny House Lab are open to the public daily during its stop in Northbrook. The Proof is Possible Tour also includes homeowner educational seminars, personal home performance consultations and special homeowner incentives for home performance testing and other improvements.

The Proof is Possible sponsor, Advanced Energy Services, provides diagnostics and targeted home performance solutions that improve the energy efficiency, comfort, health, safety and durability of residential homes in the Chicago market. "The Proof is Possible Tour and the Tiny House Lab, " said Mike Wenzel, President of Advanced Energy Services, "is a unique, fun and educational platform to expand the understanding of how a home works and what people need to do to optimize their home's performance."

Go Green Northbrook is the tour host and a grass roots organization who's mission is to promote environmentally sustainable decisions in Northbrook and is excited about the unique opportunity to help inform residents of home performance testing and improvements. "The Proof is Possible Tour and the fascinating Tiny House Lab", stated Go Green Northbrook Board Member Tracey Becker, "is an exciting way for us to extend our message of sustainability to Northbrook residents while reducing the carbon footprint of homes in the Northbrook and surrounding communities."

The Tiny House Lab open house tours and homeowner home performance consultations are held daily at the Northbrook Leisure Center location and a free homeowner seminar will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8pm.
