Spotlight in the Summer to present 'The Lion King'

"Spotlight in the Summer" is a theatrical group started by Rhegan Graham, a student at Prospect High School.

This year, Alex Lasky a freshman at Prospect High School, has taken over the program. The goal is to give children ages 7 and older an opportunity to be in a play while raising money for the Prospect High School Speech and Theatre Program. Ten children will participate this year in every aspect of the production - from acting to directing to set construction.

This year's production is "The Lion King" and will be held at 5 and 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 916 E. Central Road, in Arlington Heights. A $5 donation is requested, but not required.

All proceeds go directly to the Prospect High School Speech and Theatre program.
