J.C. Anderson completes GTL office

Elmhurst-based J. C. Anderson Inc. announced that the firm has completed an 80,000-square-foot office renovation for Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Co. at 1275 Milwaukee Ave. in Glenview.

Founded in 1936, GTL is a legal mutual reserve company that provides a portfolio of health, accident, life and special risk insurance programs.

The firm hired J.C. Anderson Inc. to complete the 80,000 square foot renovation to multiple floors of their Glenview office location. The project, which was completed in 12 phases, consisted of creating an open floor plan, adding private executive offices, a wellness center including ballet bars and full height mirrors, a state-of-the-art board room, an executive lounge, team collaboration rooms and a new cafeteria. The new space features curved walls and a golf simulator, as well as high-end technology and millwork throughout.

J.C. Anderson Inc.'s Joseph Maguire served as project executive, Michael Ruffolo as project manager, Dan Dunn as superintendent, and Ed Bowen as estimator. TZS Design provided the architectural services and Richard Dale of Savills Studley was the project manager for ownership. Additionally, J.C. Anderson, Inc. was selected to complete another build-out for GTL's space which included elevator cab renovations, remodeling the reception and lobby areas with high-end floating clouds and an all-stone reception desk.
