Plans for a seafood restaurant in Rosemont's entertainment district have been dropped after the owner withdrew from consideration, village officials said.

Fahlstrom's Fresh Fish Market, the creation of Chicago restaurateur and actor Glenn Fahlstrom, was proposed for a new one-story, 6,000-square-foot building next to Muvico theater in MB Financial Park. Fahlstrom operates a location at 1258 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago.

He walked away because of cost considerations, Mayor Brad Stephens said.

Fahlstrom said he thanked the mayor and village's broker for considering him, but in the end all parties agreed not to move forward.
