I took this photo at Cerny Park in Warrenville during the Fourth of July fireworks. I like this photo because it reminds me of outer space - it has a somewhat isolated, surreal quality.

I happened to catch this photo of a Coopers hawk just taking off after hunting by my backyard bird feeder. He ended up successfully capturing a sparrow. The hawk spent about 10 minutes at various levels of perching and was fun to watch and a great photo opportunity!
