Foursome wins Links Tech Cup for third time
The foursome of Mark Dwyer, Joe Leone, Mike Schweizer and Bob Van Valkenburg won their third Links Technology Cup Wednesday, an annual golf outing that benefits the Schaumburg Park Foundation.
Through 18 holes the winning foursome finished 16 under par, one stroke ahead of second place finishers Charles Detrie, Paul Hart, Mike Beckmann and Ray Zawaky.
Third place went to the foursome of Randy Christie, Jack Trudel, Dale Fowler and Brian Thomason.
Proceeds benefit the Schaumburg Park Foundation, a 501(c) 3 organization that supports the park district by funding recreation scholarships for disadvantaged families and other special projects.
