Work at Camelot is unneeded, wasteful

Camelot Park is being closed from Aug. 8th to the 21st to refinish the basketball court.

In my opinion that is a waste of the taxes allocated to the Arlington Heights Park District. I am a long time resident of Arlington Heights since 1973. I am at Camelot Park six days a week and use the overhead track. Occasionally I shoot baskets on the basketball court.

There is nothing wrong with that basketball surface and I believe you are wasting taxpayers' money. The floor is maintained with excellent care by the staff at Camelot Park.

The park district should be ashamed of itself for this terrible waste of money, especially during the constant increase of real estate taxes that the residents of Arlington Heights are confronted with.
