Schaumburg parks to host Farm to Fork Festival Aug. 20

An evening of tasty food prepared by some of the area's top chefs awaits attendees of the Farm to Fork Festival Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Schaumburg Park District's Volkening Heritage Farm

Open to adults 21 and older, the fest is set from 5 to 8 p.m. that day at 201 S. Plum Grove Road in Schaumburg.

Dishes will be made with locally sourced fruits, vegetables, meats and cheeses. Locally made beers and wines also will be served.

Vendors include Duke's Alehouse & Kitchen, Emmett's Brewing Company, and Goose & Fox. Pies from Bang Bang Pie Shop also will be served.

Dinner entertainment will feature a live string duo.

The cost is $30 per person, and the registration deadline is Aug. 15.
