Yankees SS Didi Gregorius catches ball off catwalk, again

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - Didi Gregorius has perfected the catwalk catch at Tropicana Field.

The New York Yankees shortstop caught a fly ball off the bat of Tampa Bay's Steven Souza Jr. in shallow left field to end the second inning Saturday night after the ball struck one of two overhanging structures while in play.

Left fielder Brett Gardner was setting up to make the grab in front of the warning track but never got the chance.

New York's 11-5 win at Tampa Bay on May 11 last year ended when Gregorius caught Tim Beckham's pop fly in similar fashion.

Tampa Bay second baseman Steve Pearce and Toronto shortstop Troy Tulowitzki both recorded catwalk outs this season.
