School supplies needed for Dist. 59 students

Donations of school supplies are being accepted through Aug. 5 for needy Elk Grove Township Elementary District 59 students.

The school district and township are soliciting the community and businesses for a variety of supplies through their Back To School Blast Off! program, including trapper binders, pencils, backpacks, folders, 3-ring binders, scissors, plastic pencil/crayon boxes, markers/pens, glue sticks, earbuds, notebooks, highlighters, tissues, paper towels and loose leaf paper.

Supplies can be dropped off at the township and school district headquarters buildings, Elk Grove Park District Pavilion and Hattendorf Center, Parkway Bank locations in Elk Grove, Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights, Uno Pizzeria in Schaumburg, Penske Truck Rental in Elk Grove, and Christus Victor Lutheran Church, Prince of Peace Church and Shinnyo-en Chicago in Elk Grove.
