Palatine Parks Presents Annual Canine Carnival

The Palatine Park District presents the annual Canine Carnival on Thursday, August 4 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 262 E. Palatine Road, Palatine. This special event is a carnival designed just for dogs and their owners.

This year's event will feature free goody bags, games, the woof walk, an Instadog selfie station, paw print painting, complimentary raffles, a souvenir photo of you and your pet, and much more. In addition to these activities sponsored by Palatine Park District, over 20 vendors will be on-site to share canine information and their love of dogs. This year's gold level event sponsors include A Closer Bond Dog Community; ABC Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Electric; Bentley's Pet Stuff; Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices - Sue Gould; Guided Path Psychological Services; Kriser's - Natural Pet; Loving Care Animal Hospital; Puppy Love Pet Care, LLC; Save-A-Pet, Inc; and Tailchasers Incorporated.

All dogs in attendance will receive one complimentary entry into the prize raffle. Prizes have been donated by the event sponsors. To receive a second complimentary raffle entry, attendees are encouraged to bring a donation of dog or cat food, treats, or toys for the Palatine Park District Staff Service Committee Pet Needs Drive.

All dogs must be leashed and accompanied by a handler age 16 and over, and dogs must be wearing a current rabies tag to participate. The fee is $6 per dog with a handler through August 3 at 7:00pm and $8 per dog the day of the event. Pre-registration is preferred and is available online at www.palatineparks.org using program number 340030-01. Registration can also be completed by mail or in person at Community Center, Falcon Park or Birchwood.
