Bartlett Library partners with Tri-Village Garden Club

The courtyard at the Bartlett Library recently went through a transformation when members of the Tri-Village Garden Club planted a variety of flowers and other greenery.

Walter Groble and Sue Stocks, president and treasurer of the Tri-Village Garden Club respectfully, donated their time to visit the Bartlett Library in order to help bring color into the courtyard.

"Sue and I did the planting as well as removing all the invasive plants that were in the bed," Groble said.

They planted Shasta Daisies, Day Lilies, Bee Balm, Phlox, Coreopsis, Tall Cone Flowers, Cup Plants Hostas and a Spice Viburnum Shrub.

"We chose plants that will add color and bloom most of the summer, as well as attract butterflies," Groble explained.

Youth & Teen Services Manager Ruth Anne Mielke shared her thoughts on the Bartlett Library's partnership with the Tri-Village Garden Club.

"I am very pleased with what has transpired," Mielke said.

Mielke then explained that there is a sign near the plants to signify the partnership with the Tri-Village Garden Club.
