Centegra offers tours of new birth center

Centegra Health System invites those planning a family to attend tours of the new Family Birth Center at Centegra Hospital-Huntley, 10400 Haligus Road, from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 27.

Parents, grandparents and siblings are invited to attend and need to register by calling (877) CENTEGRA (236-8347). The last tour begins at 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and there also will be a raffle.

Those pregnant and expecting to deliver, or families interested in Centegra Hospital-Huntley as a potential hospital in which to give birth, will meet the clinical care team, allowing the guests to focus attention in the coming months on their expanding families.

"Our team has years of experience in all types of labor and delivery situations," said Joan Stout, assistant director of women's services. "We keep mothers and babies safe, and we know how to quickly respond to the needs of a patient."

When Centegra Hospital-Huntley opens Aug. 9, Centegra will partner with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago to provide 24-hour pediatric hospitalist coverage. During the July 27 visit, guests can take a moment to view the pediatric unit and emergency department and meet the team to learn more about the additional level of expertise Centegra soon will offer its youngest patients and their families.
