Wadsworth man faces multiple drug charges

A Wadsworth man described by authorities as a known street gang member has been charged with multiple drug offenses following a monthlong investigation by Lake County and federal authorities.

Zachary S. Moore, 24, of the 2500 block of North Augusta Drive, Wadsworth, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Lake County jail and must post 10 percent of a $200,000 bail to be released. His next court date is Aug. 15.

On Thursday, the sheriff's Gang Task Force, in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Department of Homeland Security served a search warrant at Moore's residence. More than 60 grams of heroin was located, along with equipment indicative of drug sales, the sheriff's office said in a news release. More than $10,000 in cash was seized, which police believe to be profits from the sale of drugs.
