LPGA's Hull of England sidelined by illness

GURNEE, Ill. (AP) - Charley Hull has been ruled out for her four-ball match in the LPGA's UL International Crown due to illness.

Hull's absence left Melissa Reid playing for England by herself against Japan's Haru Nomura and Mika Miyazato.

Hull says Friday in a statement released by the LPGA that she sought medical attention for her asthma and a fever when she arrived at the course. She was hoping to join Reid at some point, but the medical team advised her to rest and prepare for Saturday.

The 20-year-old Hull helped England sweep its two matches against the United States on Thursday on the opening day of the biennial event that features eight teams.

The top two teams in each pool and the winner of a wild-card playoff between the third-place teams advance to singles matches on Sunday.
