Creative Werks moves HQ to Elk Grove

Creative Werks LLC, a provider of packaging design and manufacturing, will expand its Elk Grove Village operations and turn it into its headquarters by early next year, eventually closing down its Bensenville operations.

To help the expansion and move, Elk Grove Village will provide the company about $550,000 over the course of its 10-year lease in the tax increment financing district, said Elk Grove Director of Business Development and Marketing Josh Grodzin.

"Operations in Bensenville will wind down over the next few years due to some contracts," Grodzin said. "Then they will cease operations in Bensenville."

The new headquarters will bring 50 corporate workers and 250 production jobs to join the 300 production jobs already in Elk Grove Village. The new headquarters will house the executive team along with human resources, finance, accounting, IT, engineering, design, marketing, client services and supply chain staff.

"Our team is growing and we want to provide a work atmosphere that fuels creativity and improves communication," founder and Creative Werks President Steve Schroeder said in a statement.

In 2015, Creative Werks also had expanded with an additional 400,000 square feet in Bartlett, which will remain open.

The Elk Grove Village location will continue to run on wind power, like Creative Werks' other facilities, and will be outfitted with energy efficient LED lighting throughout the building.
