6th Annual Mundelein Arts Festiva Coming This Fall

This fall, the 6th annual Mundelein Fine Arts Festival, a juried art festival, will once again showcase the talents of 45 fine artists and craftspeople who work in a variety of media. The two-day event will be held 10am - 5pm on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11, 2016 and will feature top-notch artists, local musicians and tasty food.

In addition to professional artists, Mundelein Fine Arts Festival will also highlight artwork by select students from Mundelein High School.

A committee of well-known judges will award a cash prize for: Best of Show and Best in Category (six categories). The Kirk Players will award a $500 Emerging Artist Award. There are also Purchase Awards including the Village of Mundelein's Annual Purchase Award. In addition, Mundelein High School will receive scholarship money to award to students pursuing art in college.

The Festival is located in Kracklauer Park in downtown Mundelein, (100 N. Seymour Ave.) Artists will be located in the paved area for easy access by visitors, and local musicians will perform in the Gazebo in the Park, adjacent to the artists' set-up.

Our Mission is to support the arts, provide scholarship money to deserving art students at Mundelein High School, and bring more attention to Mundelein as an excellent place to live and visit.
