Lake Zurich theater company rehearses 'Urinetown'

The Cricket Theatre Company of Lake Zurich held a dress rehearsal Wednesday for its production of "Urinetown" at the Performing Arts center at Lake Zurich High School.

The play is a musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, municipal politics and musical theater itself.

Area high school students are presenting the show in which no one is safe from scrutiny.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 23, and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at the high school, 300 Church St., Lake Zurich.

Tickets are $9 in advance, $11 at the door. Tickets can be ordered online at crickettheatrecompany.seatyourself.biz.
