Starting off the weekend is the popular Naperville band OMT on Friday, July 22. OMT prides themselves on being able to touch upon various genres and put their own spin on hit songs.

"The band chose to play multiple genres so there is something for everyone," said guitarist and vocalist Dick Kuhn. From rock to indie to country, both classic and current, OMT's set list is guaranteed to please. The band believes this is part of the reason that their live performances are so exciting and enjoyable.

"Our goal is to have a fun experience for us and the crowd," Kuhn stated and that is just what the fans of OMT have come to expect from them. With hit songs by Tom Petty, Bon Jovi, Sublime and Maroon 5 in their repertoire there's no doubt why OMT has been so successful during their time as a band. The current group has been together for over five years and has played about 100 shows during this time.

When asked what the band is passionate about, Kuhn answered, "We want to support live music. There are not that many live bands anymore." OMT wishes to help keep up the tradition of live music and one of the best ways to accomplish this is by performing at concerts like Naper Nights.

OMT will be opening for one of Chicago's premier party bands Mike & Joe. This popular cover band includes pop-rock songs from the '90s to today in their set list.

"I am truly excited to see Mike & Joe this year because everyone knows their songs and sings along. The band really gets the crowd up and dancing!" said Special Events Coordinator Adison Glick. This will be especially true when Mike & Joe play hit songs from their extensive list of popular bands, including Mumford & Sons, Blink 182, Dave Matthews Band and Train.

Kicking off day two of July Naper Nights is the talented Queen Tribute band Killer Queen. On Saturday, July 23, Killer Queen will perform a set filled with Queen's chart-topping hits from the '70s and '80s.

Headlining on Saturday night is the tribute band Landslide. Landslide is dedicated to honoring one of the most popular rock bands in history, Fleetwood Mac.

"Landslide impeccably delivers the songs of Fleetwood Mac for a truly unique tribute," said Glick. Covering hits such as "Go Your Own Way," "Say You Love Me" and "Rhiannon," Landslide is sure to please.

Along with all of the incredible music highlighting the weekend, there will also be food and drink vendors, as well as children's activities.

This month, food vendors include Kick's Chicken Cafe, Joey's Red Hots, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Little Jimmy's Italian Ice. For attendees over 21, mouthwatering beverages will also be available from Rodney Strong Vineyards and Bell's Brewery.

July's children's activities include painting with Pinot's Palette and board breaking with PRO Martial Arts on Friday and Saturday; STEM-based experiments with SciTech Hands On Museum and crafts with Bright Horizons on Friday; learning through play with a portable exhibit from DuPage Children's Museum and playing with the School of Rock instrument petting zoo on Saturday.

"It's fantastic to see kids enjoying the children's activities at Naper Nights! Naper Settlement truly is a special place to be able to provide the entire concert going experience within a safe and family-friendly environment," stated Glick. Naper Nights truly provides something for everyone and is sure to be fun for the whole family.

The Naper Nights Concert Series will conclude in August with Fletcher Rockwell and 16 Candles on Aug. 19 and Who's Who and Kashmir on Aug. 20.
