Country Night comes to Glendale Heights Fest

A little bit of the country came to the suburbs Friday during the Country Night celebration at Glendale Heights Fest.

Visitors to the fest, which continues through Sunday night at Camera Park, 101 E. Fullerton Ave., could ride a mechanical bull, do a little line dancing or listen to music from the Smokin Gunz and Back Country Roads.

Proceeds from the mechanical bull supported the Family in Faith Christian Church by raising money to help build a food pantry.

The fest continues with music, carnival rides and other activities through the weekend, including a closing fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Admission to the festival grounds is free.
