Police looking for man who robbed West Chicago bank at gunpoint

Police are searching for a man who robbed a West Chicago bank at gunpoint Tuesday morning.

The man entered the Fifth Third Bank at 1800 N. Neltnor Blvd. shortly after 11 a.m., the FBI said, showed a handgun and announced he was robbing the bank.

The robber left with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.

Police said they don't know how he made his getaway.

Surveillance photos show the robber wearing a black, flat-billed Miami Heat hat, a gray hooded sweatshirt, oversized jeans and gray slip-on shoes.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for anyone who calls (312) 421-6700 with information leading to an arrest.
