Fan Favorite voting ends today for Suburban Chicago's Got Talent
Suburban Chicago's Got Talent judges have weighed in on which of the Top 20 contestants they want to advance to the next round, but fans only have until noon Tuesday, July 5, to vote online to guarantee their favorite makes the cut.
Videos of all the performances from Sunday's show at Schaumburg's Prairie Center for the Arts can be viewed at dailyherald.com/entertainment/talent.
These votes are crucial for two reasons. The act with the most votes in this round is guaranteed a spot in the Top 15, even if the judges had that act slated for elimination. And the act with the most cumulative votes throughout the competition will be named the Fan Favorite winner with a special prize to be determined.
The winners of both the Fan Favorite and grand prize of Suburban Chicago's Got Talent will be named following a free concert on Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Taste of Arlington Heights.
The top prize of Suburban Chicago's Got Talent is called a “STARter Kit” valued at about $5,000. It includes the chance to open for a national headline act at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, career mentoring by Onesti Entertainment and professional video and still photo shoots of a live performance and production.
For 2016, Suburban Chicago's Got Talent is co-sponsored by the Daily Herald, Onesti Entertainment, the Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg, the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce, Valli Produce, Amita Health and Salon Lorrene.
