Documentary for veterans showing in North Chicago

Veterans, military and their families are invited to a free showing of the documentary "Honoring the Code: Warriors and Moral Injury," at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 8, at the Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago.

The 75-minute documentary features veterans, active military personnel and their families telling their war stories and talking about their "moral" injuries. The film is a sequel to the Front Porch Media documentary "Invisible Scars: Hope for Warriors with Hidden Wounds," which focused on post-traumatic stress disorder.

The films are meant to be tools to help vets and military members heal, and communicate with family members and others about the trauma they've faced. Attendees are encouraged to stay for a panel discussion after the film.

Screening is in Bourke Hall, Building 4, 3001 Green Bay Road. Park in lot T.
