Leyden Eagle Golf Outing scholarship fundraiser

As a result of the success of the yearly golf outings, Leyden's athletic director Randy Conrad awarded $1000 scholarships to two 2016 graduates who will be attending college this fall. The recipients are Michalina Szelazek, East campus graduate, and Matthew Sifuentes, West campus graduate.

In addition to the money raised by the outing and a raffle, additional funds were accrued by the generosity of those participants who sponsored a hole: a Gold Donor at $500, Ace Donor at $250, Eagle Donor at $100 and Birdie Donor at $50. Those donors include Justin Chibucus of Axa Advisors, CustomPromos.com, Mayor Jeff Sherwin of Northlake, Mayor Brad Stephens of Rosemont, West Leyden's chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America, Schiller Park Police, RCI Real Estate Group, Leyden Credit Union, Perry's Pizza Joynt, Tri-Angle Screen Printing, Rotary Club of Chicago, SPM Architect, Inc., KTNA Limited.

"We would like to thank all those who participated in this year's event," says Conrad. "It is because of their support that we're able to award scholarships to deserving student athletes.
