'American Girl' author to sign books July 9 at Norsk Museum

On Saturday, July 9, noted author Kathleen Ernst will host two book signings at Sheridan's Norsk Museum.

Ernst has published 33 titles which combined have sold 1.6 million print, electronic and audio copies. Her work has earned numerous honors including an Emmy for children's exceptional programming, a Lovey Best Traditional Mystery award, an Edgar and multiple Agatha national mystery award nominations.

At 11 a.m., Ernst will first discuss her "American Girl" series. Another discussion will follow at 1 p.m. on her "Chloe Ellefson" series. Both talks will be held at the Norway United Methodist Church, 3654 N. Route 71, Norway. Admission is free.

She will sign copies of the books at noon and 2 p.m. at the Norsk Museum, 3656 E. Sheridan Road, just east of Route 71 in Sheridan.

The Norsk Museum was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places. It has artifacts from Norway that are over 100 years old on display. The museum is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, June to September.
