NEW YORK (AP) - Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Tuesday:

McKesson Corp., up $3.95 to $176.58

The prescription drug distributer announced an acquisition and said it will spin off one business and pursue strategic options for another.

ReachLocal Inc., up $2.87 to $4.56

USA Today publisher Gannett said it will buy the digital marketing company for $4.60 per share, or $138.4 million.

Xencor Inc., up $4.02 to $16.56

The drug developer announced a partnership with Novartis to develop potential cancer drugs and will get $150 million up front.

Regulus Therapeutics Inc., down $2.47 to $2.54

Regulators put the company's experimental hepatitis C drug on hold after two patients were diagnosed with jaundice.

Carnival Corp., up 9 cents to $43.73

The cruise line company reported a larger profit and sales than analysts had expected.

Dow Chemical Co., down $1.01 to $48.50

The company will cut about 2,500 jobs and close some plants as it prepares to combine with DuPont.

Hess Corp., up $2.51 to $55.14

Energy companies traded higher with the price of oil on Tuesday.

Consolidated Edison Inc., down 53 cents to $79.20

Utility companies fell after making big gains over the last few days.
