Shred your personal documents with State Rep. Anna Moeller

State Rep. Anna Moeller, D-Elgin, is teaming with KCT Credit Union and Elgin Community College for a free paper shredding event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 25, in parking lot E at Elgin Community College, 1700 Spartan Drive in Elgin.

"To help consumers prevent identity theft, it is critical for residents to have the ability to protect their sensitive documents," Moeller said. "This is a great event that will give consumers peace of mind in knowing that their confidential information is destroyed on-site in an environmentally friendly manner."

Bring all of your personal documents, from bank statements to credit card receipts, to be securely destroyed. ECC's Student Life organization also will hold a food drive for their Spartan Food Pantry for ECC students. Bring nonperishable food items to support this great cause.

This event is free to the public.
