Find hidden gems at Town and County Garden Walk in Libertyville

Town and Country Garden Club of Libertyville presents "Hidden Gems Garden Walk" fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 25.

The walk will feature five unique and inspiring residential gardens and the Libertyville Community Gardens that provide a bounty of new ideas for your own garden.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 the day of the walk and are available at these Libertyville stores: How Impressive!, Eclectic Design Source as well as the Libertyville Village Hall and the June 23 Farmers market.

The walk will showcase a variety of gardening styles, including an official Wildlife Habitat, vegetable, perennial, formal and native gardens that appeal to bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.

Participants will receive tips on how to negotiate everything from wildlife to weeds.

"I attend this walk each year and love seeing the variety of gardens. I learn something new from each one," said Kathleen Kinsey of Libertyville.

Proceeds of this fundraiser support plantings at Cook Mansion, David Adler Arts and Music Center, Libertyville Civic Center, Winchester House and many other Libertyville public areas, as well as a community garden plot that provides fresh produce to the local food pantry.
