The King's Players to stage The Little Mermaid

Celebrating its 16th year, The King's Players Youth Community Theatre ministry of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mount Prospect, in partnership with District 214 Community Education, is thrilled to be producing Disney's "The Little Mermaid" this summer! The show is the full Broadway version, newly-released for amateur theatre companies.

The show runs July 15-17, and July 22-24, at Rolling Meadows High School, 2901 Central Road, Rolling Meadows.

Tickets are currently available at thekingsplayers.org, and are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.

The King's Players features some of the area's most talented youth in this year's show, under the direction of Jan Scott and Mark Brewer. The cast of middle and high school students are already hard at work in rehearsals, adding their talents to this much-loved Disney classic. The story of a teenaged mermaid's youthful yearning for experience is a message that the cast can explore and relate to well. Familiar songs, incredible costumes created by Kim Perlich, and lively dancing make this a show not to be missed!

The annual King's Players productions do not disappoint, and are an opportunity for the entire family to enjoy a night out at the theater. New this year is the "Under The Sea" character brunch with Ariel and her friends on July 17. A separate ticket is needed for this fun event, and can also be purchased at thekingsplayers.org.
