The Swedish Days Grand Parade will cap off a week of fun, food and friends.

The parade path starts from the high school area at Center Street and Anderson Boulevard and continues south on Anderson turning east onto State Street. Downtown, the march will continue south on Third Street and disband at the Metra train station.

The parade is presented by Viking Service Organization and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce,

Flanagan served as Geneva's Fourth Ward alderman from 1993 to 2015. The Proviso West Roaring Thunder Marching Band will make their debut along with the Dover Eyota High School Marching Band from Minnesota. Wisconsin brings the Band of the Blackwatch with their traditional kilts and bagpipes. In addition, returning Drum & Bugle Corps, including the ever-popular South Shore Drill Team will add to the elation.

Local Scout troops will be carrying a flag that spans half a block.

The VIP Viewing tent is sponsored by Charles Schwab-Geneva Branch.
