SEC names Ben Oldham coordinator of football replay

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - The Southeastern Conference has named Ben Oldham as the coordinator of football replay for the 2016 football season.

Oldham is filing a new position and will report to SEC coordinator of football officials Steve Shaw. He also will help provide oversight for the conference's instant replay process, including the new collaborative instant replay system being implemented at the SEC headquarters.

The SEC announced last month it would have officials at league headquarters helping with instant replay rulings. Oldham will be one of the replay officials operating out of the SEC's central review center each Saturday.

Oldham has worked 24 bowl games either on the field or in the replay booth. He has officiated six SEC championship games in some capacity.
