Dundee Library brings Conversation Club to St. Monica's

Spanish-speaking residents looking to practice English have been meeting at the Dundee Library for "Conversation Club," where tutors from the Literacy Connection focus on specific issues, including making a doctor's appointment, placing an emergency call, parent/teacher conferences, using the bank, and more.

Attendees increase their English vocabulary while learning to communicate in crucial situations.

The club has added an additional meeting opportunity to be held at St. Monica's, 90 N. Kennedy Drive (Route 25) in Carpentersville. The group will meet on the first and third Monday of every month from 10 to 11 a.m.

The club will continue to meet at the Dundee Library, 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68) in East Dundee, on the first and third Wednesday of every month from 7 to 8 p.m.

This is a free group, and no registration is required. For information, contact Kate at (224) 699-5873 or email kcundiff@frvpld.info, in English or Spanish.

The Fox River Public Library District serves 70,000 residents of Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, Gilberts, and parts of Algonquin. Visit frvpld.info for more information.
