Sign up for a Woodland Birthday Party for your child

GENEVA, Ill. - Let the Forest Preserve District of Kane County host a "Woodland Birthday Party" for your child. They will take care of the planning, entertainment and clean up.

"Woodland Birthdays" feature an outdoor nature exploration hike led by naturalists, followed by a campfire.

There will be hot dogs, chips and drinks and party favors with a nature theme for each child, as well as the use of a cabin at Johnson's Mound Forest Preserve in Elburn or the use of Creek Bend Nature Center at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve in St. Charles.

Parties are available June to September. You pick the date (subject to availability). Party times are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 5 to 7 p.m.

The fee for a "Woodland Birthday Party" is $175 for Kane County residents, $200 for out-of-county residents. The rate includes a party for 15 children. For more than 15 children, there will be a charge of $5 per additional child.

Creek Bend Nature Center is located within LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve at 37W700 Dean St. in St. Charles.

Johnson's Mound Forest Preserve is located at 41W600 Hughes Road in Elburn.
