Colonel Morgenthaler is a woman of many firsts. She was in the first experimental class of women that the U.S. Army trained alongside men. Overcoming obstacles, she was the first woman battalion commander and first brigade commander in two divisions. She was also the first woman to run homeland security for the state of Illinois. During her military career, Morgenthaler led hundreds of men and women around the world in war and peace and was the recipient of the Bronze Start and the Legion of Merit for her lifelong leadership.

A dynamic and masterful speaker, she shares her leadership secrets with others. She shows audiences how to lead with confidence through her content-rich, high-energy speeches and seminars. Her unique experiences, ranging from a showdown the Saddam Hussein to saving an American engineer from a Soviet kidnapping, translate into universal lessons.
