Rookie Boyette has first career double-double in Sky win

INDIANAPOLIS - Imani Boyette had 16 points and 12 rebounds - both career highs - and Cappie Pondexter reached 6,000 career points to help the Chicago Sky beat the Indiana Fever 73-64 on Friday night.

It was the first career double-double for Boyette, the former Texas player drafted 10th overall in the April draft. She had 10 points and seven rebounds in the first half as Chicago held a 41-33 lead. She finished 8 of 12 from the field in 25 minutes.

Pondexter scored 10 points to become the seventh player in WNBA history to reach the milestone. Elena Delle Donne added 14 points for Chicago (5-4), ranked fifth in the AP power poll.

Delle Donne extended Chicago's fourth-quarter lead to 58-50 with an open 3-pointer for her first points since the opening quarter. She found Jamierra Faulkner in the corner for a 3-pointer for a 73-59 lead.

Briann January had three 3-pointers and 17 points for sixth-ranked Indiana (4-5).

Chicago won its fifth consecutive regular-season game against Indiana.
