Wauconda Area Library kicks off its Family Fun Fridays with bubbles

The Family Fun Fridays had a very bubbly kickoff at the Wauconda Area Library.

Glowby the Bubbler, also known as Gordy Tobutt of Fox River Grove, amazed the crowd of more than 200 children and adults with his wide variety of bubbles.

Wauconda Area Library Programming Supervisor Terri Suda said organizers don't think the learning opportunities for children should stop just because they're not in the classroom for a few months.

"Our whole summer here at the library is about bringing the community together and providing great fun and learning opportunities for kids while they're on break over the summer," Suda said.

The next two Friday programs include Sean Masterson's Vaudeville Family Magic Show on June 17, and Jim "The Spoon Man" Cruise on June 24. Both events start at noon at the library, 801 N. Main St., Wauconda.
