Matt Forte to appear at Christ Community June 25-26

On June 25-26, Christ Community Church in St. Charles welcomes former Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte to weekend services.

The NFL star will take the stage during each of Christ Community services for an exclusive interview before he begins the next chapter in his NFL career - playing for the New York Jets.

Forte was drafted in the second round of the 2008 draft out of Tulane. Over the course of eight years, this two-time All-Pro established himself as a dominant dual threat in rushing and receiving. He leaves Chicago as the second-greatest running back in a storied franchise known for producing rushing legends including Walter Payton and Gale Sayers.

As a Bear, Forte set the single-season record for receptions by a running back, ranks 38th all-time in career rushing yards, and holds multiple Bears rookie records. Since 2007, he has more yards from scrimmage than any other player. In fact, he reached 8,000 rushing yards and 4,000 receiving yards in 117 games - a feat that only Hall-of-Famer Marshall Faulk did faster.

This exclusive interview with Matt Forte about his years in Chicago, his next chapter, and experiencing Hurricane Katrina as a Tulane student will take place live during three identical services at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 25, and 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday, June 26, at Christ Community's St. Charles campus, l Randall and Bolcum roads in St. Charles.

The interview will also be shown via livestream or video at Christ Community's Aurora (Blackberry Creek), Bartlett, and DeKalb Campuses during their regular weekend services.

There is no charge or ticket to attend any of the services. All are welcome. Due to logistics, there is no planned meet and greet or autograph session.
