Exchange Club of Grayslake Honors Firefighter

On Thursday May 26th, Firefighter/Paramedic Christopher McLaughlin Jr. was named the Exchange Club of Grayslake Firefighter of the Year for the Grayslake Fire Protection District. Firefighter/Paramedic McLaughlin is a six year member of the Fire District most recently as a career member who in addition to his normal duties assists in various capacities with the District which include oversight of the Emergency Medical Services Division.

He is known by his peers as a leader, and when presenting the Award at the annual Banquet, Fire Chief John Christian stated that "Christopher is a strong, intelligent, mature young man with a tremendous future ahead of him. He certainly lives up to the three things we cherish in the fire service; Duty, Pride, and Honor".

Celebrating over 40 years of service to the community, the Exchange Club of Grayslake is part of a national service organization that focuses on projects for our Youth, Americanism, Community Service, and our national project Prevention of Child Abuse. All proceeds from our fundraising events will help support many worthwhile community programs.
