Police: Girl, 6, critically injured in Chicago shooting

CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago police say a 6-year-old girl has been critically injured in a shooting on the city's northwest side.

Police say the girl was shot in the back at about 8:10 p.m. Monday outside of a home in the Logan Square neighborhood. They say she was struck when a silver vehicle drove up and someone in it opened fire.

Police say the girl was taken by a family to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center and then transferred to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

No one had been arrested as of early Tuesday.
