Archbishop Blase Cupich will ordain 13 men to serve as permanent deacons at a ceremony 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago.

Those to be ordained and their home parishes include: David F. Babczak, St. Raymond de Penafort Parish, Mount Prospect; Robert Edward Cyran, Transfiguration Parish, Wauconda; Richard M. Holevoet, St. Patrick Parish, Wadsworth; Kevin Joseph Blindauer, Mary, Seat of Wisdom Parish, Park Ridge; and Joseph Gregory Krame, Our Lady of Humility Parish, Beach Park/Zion. The deacons completed a four-year program through the Institute for Diaconal Studies at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary that included the human, spiritual, intellectual and pastoral dimensions of formation; field education experiences in service to charity and evangelization; and a yearlong parish pastoral ministry internship.
