Barrington-Countryside fire board names new president

Keith Hanson has been named the new president of the Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District board. Other officers for the 2016-17 fiscal year are Vice President Dr. Thomas C. Long, Treasurer Marvin Hill and Secretary Paul J. Struck. Past President Paul M. Heinze remains on the board. Hanson, an attorney, was appointed to the BCFPD board in 2015. The managing partner of a Barrington-based firm that specializes in commercial law, Hanson also acts as counsel to many area nonprofits and teaches political science at Trinity International University in Deerfield. The fire protection district serves portions of Barrington Hills, South Barrington, Lake Barrington and Inverness; and portions of unincorporated Cook, Lake and McHenry counties.
