Kombouare appointed as Guingamp's new coach

PARIS (AP) - Former Paris Saint-Germain coach Antoine Kombouare will return to the French topflight next season after signing a three-year deal to manage Guingamp.

The 52-year-old Kombouare was fired by PSG in 2011 and coached Lens the past three seasons.

He replaces Jocelyn Gourvennec, who left Guingamp for Bordeaux last week.

After replacing Paul Le Guen in 2009 and leading PSG to the French Cup the following year, Kombouare guided the club to the top of the French standings before getting fired and replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.
