Wingfest for kids charity in Schaumburg July 31

The Woodfield Area Children's Organization's 16th annual Wingfest will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at Drink, 871 E. Algonquin Road in Schaumburg.

Sixteen area restaurants will be serving wings and competing for the title of "Best of the 'Burbs."

Wingfest is a major fundraiser for W.A.C.O. All money raised will be used to take more than 500 underprivileged preschoolers Christmas shopping in December. This year will mark the 24th year of these Christmas shopping tours.

The Big Richards will perform during Wingfest and a bags tourney will start at 2 p.m.

Tickets for the event for adults 21 and over costs $30 through June 30 and $35 after that. Tickets are on sale at wacot4t2015.thundertix.com/events/8557.
