FBI: Robber in red wig strikes at Carol Stream bank

FBI task force members are investigating a robbery of a Chase Bank on Saturday morning in Carol Stream, authorities said.

The robbery - by a black man wearing a red wig and sunglasses - occurred at 9:32 a.m. at the Chase location at 411 S. Schmale Road, FBI spokesman Garrett Croon said.

The FBI called the scene a "non-takeover bank robbery." It was the 71st bank robbery reported in the Chicago and northern Illinois area so far this year, according to the FBI's Chicago Bandit Tracker website.

Croon said a photo of the suspect is expected to be posted to Bandit Tracker later Saturday.
